Dee Corrydon Wilson, 73, of Oakland, Oregon, former Miles City Resident, died of kidney failure July 12, 2012 in Oakland.
Dee was born May 12, 1939 in Miles City, Montana to Corrydon and Laura Brown Wilson. Mr. Wilson also had resided in Ontario, California and Rosebud, Montana. As a young man, he worked as a farmer and rancher. When he became an adult he worked as a general contractor and heavy equipment operator.
Linda Mae (Caskey) Wilson, 73, of Oakland, Oregon, formerly of Forsyth, died by drowning July 10, 2015 in Willow Creek Reservoir, Pearce, Nebraska. Linda was born November 8, 1941 in Forsyth, Montana.
On June 1, 1957 in Forsyth, Dee and Linda were married for a period of 55-years during which they worked together in the farming, construction, and ranching industries. Throughout their lives, they supported 4-H and FFA in Montana and Oregon. They donated time to create the BMX Park in Covina, California. In 1989 they purchased, at auction, part of Dee’s father’s old Rosebud farm and sold the California construction company. They began ranching until Dee’s health failed in 1995. In 1996 they moved to Oregon where Dee and Linda both took up the fine art of wood turning using predominately Black Walnut wood for their art medium.
Dee was a recognized Public Works Engineer with construction projects ranging to $10-million. He enjoyed operating his backhoe almost as much as sex. He loved building and working with his hands, creating beautiful wood working pieces, turning nearly 500 pieces of art over the last 16 years of his life. Dee is known to have turned several turn-of-the-century replicate furniture pieces, one from the 1850’s. He also enjoyed welding and making others feel better about themselves.
Linda drove Dump Truck and Trailer for over fifteen years. She loved gardening, lapidary, painting and photography. She also took up the art of wood turning, making pens for troops and high school graduating seniors. After the loss of Dee in 2012, she dedicated her time to her church.
Dee and Linda never wanted the attention; they always wanted to make others shine.
The couple is survived by son Leslie Corrydon Wilson (spouse Sandy) and daughter Verna Mae Kellejian (spouse Steve), along with three granddaughters Kelly (Larry) Simonson, Amanda (Jeff) Naylor, Christina (Steve) Kivitt and eight great-grandchildren Kaylee, Johanna, Sean Simonson; Oliver, Eliza, Patrick Naylor; Elizabeth, Benjamin Kivitt. And, Linda’s special friends Boomer, Daisy, Belle.
Last wishes were to be interred together in the same urn for which Dee turned of Black Walnut. Memorial services will be held August 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Forsyth Cemetery. Reception to follow at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home.

The one time I met Dee and Linda in their home, they were incredibly hospitable. And the mention of Dee turning their shared urn from black walnut makes me smile and love all the more that a bagpipe case their son, Les, made for my bagpipes is in black walnut, cured in their own dryer. So that case will always let me remember a beautiful shared life.
