Dennis Patrick Harmon of Laurel, MT went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on August 5, 2017. Dennis was at home surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born on November 18, 1952 in Sparta, WI to Frank Richard Harmon and Caroline Sophia (Jones) Harmon. Dennis attended school in Tomah, WI. After school Dennis immediately went into the Army and served in the Vietnam War. After proudly serving his country he joined the Army Reserves and then the National Guard. Dennis was a jack-of-all trades. He had a construction company in Miles City, he drove semi-truck, and was an electrician. Dennis could do whatever he set his mind to.
He met and married his first wife, Connie Lee, in 1973. To this union a beautiful daughter, Courtney Talia, was born. Following their divorce, he met and married Pam Greenfield in 1982. To this union, two sons were born, Patrick Dennison and Matthew James.
Dennis’s greatest love was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed going for rides whether in his pickup, on his 4-wheeler, or on his Harley. He loved spending time camping, hunting and restoring old vehicles. Dennis also had a great singing voice and love of music. He often encouraged family and friends to sing at family gatherings and events.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Caroline, a brother Jack, and two nieces, two nephews and two great nephews. He is survived by daughter Courtney (Brian) Henson and their children, Brandon, Brealynn, Brayten and Bryson of Camanche, IA; his sons, Patrick (Jessica LeBrun) Harmon and Matthew (Ashley Rodriguez) Harmon and their son Wyatt from Laurel, MT; brothers, Dick (Barb) Harmon, Ron (Andrea) Harmon and Tom (Barb) Harmon of Laurel, MT; Lee (Jane) Harmon and Jim (Nancy) Harmon of West Bend, WI; and Jerry (Allison) Harmon of Athol, ID; sisters, Edith (Don) Treu, Judy (Howard) Hanson, and Nancy Tralmer of Warrens, WI; MaryAnn (Mark) Hilyard of Great Falls, MT, and Julie (Terry) Sgrignoli of Miles City, MT. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Family Christian Center in Laurel, MT. Interment will be held at the Yellowstone National Cemetery with full military honors. Too soon. But thank God , Jesus made it possible by His death and resurrection and those that have believed and received Christ as Savior will be together again. Dennis we will miss you but look forward to seeing you again.
