Dillon James Welch, 23 passed away June 21, 2014 as the result of a car accident near Gladstone, North Dakota.
Dillon was born April 25, 1991 to Richard and Melissa Welch. He was raised in Hysham where he attended school and graduated in 2009. During his time in school he participated in basketball, football and FFA. Throughout the years there Dillon developed friendships that will forever last a lifetime.
Dillon was a true mama’s boy. He lived life to the fullest, telling his friends he would never live to see the age of 40. Dillon made lifelong friends everywhere he went. He strived to make everyone’s life better. He was a sweet, kind, generous individual who would do anything to make you smile. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Dillon loved spending his free time outdoors. He enjoyed Family barbeques at the dam, swimming, hunting, fishing, spotlighting and riding Motorcycles and Four Wheelers. No matter the activity he enjoyed the comradery of good friends. A sense of hard work and perseverance was instilled at a young age from multiple hours working with two of the most inspirational men in his life….his Papa Larry and most important….his Pa. He wasn’t afraid to try anything new and always did it with a smile.
Dillon was currently working in Dickinson, North Dakota for Pathfinder Inspection & Field Services. During his short time there he developed a special bond with his coworkers. His Uplifting personality and Infectious smile and sense of humor made the long hard work days more enjoyable for anyone working with him. Through his employment there and the extreme trust and generosity of his Boss Jeremy Rudolph he was able to achieve a lifelong dream of going to Alaska.

My sincere condolences to the family of Dillon James Welch – It was never the Creator’s purpose for mankind to suffer (Romans 5:12). In the Bible death is called an “enemy” (1 Corinthians 15:26). May God give you peace through his promise to comfort us (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). I hope that you are consoled by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).
