Doris Lee Bell Hougardy went to be with the Lord on August 15t,h 2015. She was 81 years old, and the daughter of Clyde and Uarda Bell, born in Kane, Wyoming on December 13, 1933 and delivered at home by her father. She spent her early years in Powell, Wyoming and moved with her family to their ranch near Musselshell Montana, when she was 14. She attended high school in Musselshell. Doris married Loren Hougardy in Roundup on December 16, 1951. Doris and Loren lived on the family ranch on Goulding Creek, near Roundup, where they raised their six children; John (Barbara), Edith (Steve) Berkram, Eileen (Andy) Wright, Anette, Alice (Leif) Ronning, and Mark (Teresa).
In 2003, Loren and Doris, along with Mark and Teresa, moved to the new ranch on the Uall road near Jordan, MT. Doris enjoyed reading and was an active member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Roundup. She also enjoyed having her grandchildren spend their summers with her at the ranch. After Loren’s passing Doris enjoyed numerous card and bingo games at TLC in Miles City as well as many visitors of both family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren, four brothers, one sister and one grandson. She is survived by her children, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her brother Bert Bell and two sisters: Shirley Bailey and Lenore Sharp.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Neudorfor Cemetery.
