Eva Turner Renn, age 90, of Miles City, passed away on November 13, 2012 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive, MT.
Eva was born on April 15, 1922 in Glenmont, Maryland, the daughter of Harvey and Florence (Smith) Turner. She attended grade school in Glenmont and finished through the eighth grade. In 1940, she met and married Melvin Jenkins. Shortly after marriage they moved to Laurel, Maryland where Melvin worked for the Department of Agriculture. To this union, three children were born: Melvin Russell Jenkins, Delores Jenkins and Doris Ellen Jenkins. They made their home in Laurel for 20 years. They loved to travel around together for several years until the time of Melvin’s passing 1974. Several years later in 1990, Eva met and married Harry Albert Renn in Hagerstown, MD. Shortly after getting married, they moved to Florida where they lived until Harry passed away. As a family they decided to do some traveling and came to Montana. Eva lived in the Eagles Manor until the time of her passing. Eva loved knitting, crocheting, traveling and spending time with her little dog.
Eva is survived by a brother John (Pat) Turner, her daughter, Delores (Toby) Whetzel of Miles City, MT; four grandchildren: Patricia (Rick) Rovito of Virginia Beach, VA, Thomas (Svenja) Wagner of Gilbert, AZ, Michael (Teresa) Wagner of Smithfield, VA and William Brock of Miles City, MT; seven great grandchildren: Kristin Rovito, Derek Rovito, Trevor Rovito, Angelica Wagner, Christopher Wagner, Lauren Wagner and Tony Wagner; and one great great grandchild Cayleigh Marie Dodson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Audrey Mallick & Ethel Campbell, her husband Melvin Jenkins and Harry Renn, a son, Melvin Jenkins and a daughter, Doris Jenkins.
