Carmen, I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a very dear lady, with lots of pep and I am pleased that she was part of my life. She was so helpful to me , with her knitting gifts I gave as Worthy Grand Matron of Eastern Star. I saw her earlier this year at the Manor, and with her picture and the article in the August 7 Miles City Star, was my reason for shock as she was so full of pep as she always has been. I did not know she had gotten ill and would have gone to see her had I known. I was so rooting for that 105 birthday celebration she was looking forward too. Please know that there are many of us who share in her loss. I admired and had a great respect for her. You are in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed . Eastern Star Love and Sympathy.

Carmen,
I have the pleasure of meeting your mom several years ago when we were visiting those who couldn’t make it to Eastern Star meetings. She tickled me beyond words. I could not believe she was 100. She spoke of her Birthday party and she was approaching in 101st. We asked her if she was going to have another big party. She said not until I’m 105. She was a amazing. I was fortunate to have several visits with her after that date. She felt bad that she didn’t have a nice table cloth to put on the table when we were there visiting her. She simply didn’t have room for that kind of stuff in her room at the Manor. To listen to her about her life and the bigger than life smile that was on her face will be burned into my memory forever. She was simply a joy! I’m sorry for your loss, and be comforted knowing that she is being her “spunky” self up in heaven with our Lord and Savior.

I met Peg about 17 years ago while working at Holy Rosary Healthcare on the weekends. I worked until Noon and Peg would come around 11:30 or so and direct visitors to patient rooms etc. I always enjoyed visiting with her, so full of history. I’ve been working at Holy Rosary the past 17 years and always was amazed seeing her volunteering at age 100+!!!! She was an amazing lady!! – Bernadette
