The Angels came after Joseph Whitewolf, Jr., Hotoa’ohnesese (Two Bulls), also known as “Pink Wolf”, a nickname given to him by his nephew Edward Foote, Sr., on July 3, 2016 freeing him of his pains and suffering at the age of 64. He was born to Alice Beartusk Whitewolf and Joseph Whitewolf, Sr. on January 7, 1954. Joseph had 6 children: Joseph III, Alice, Jodie, Billie Joy, Jerome and Sky; stepchildren: Julene Todd, Nadine & Richard Christianson. 29 grandchildren: Carl, Jade, Rayna, Autumn, Cheyenna, Joseph IV, Cain, Casin, Jodeci, Seth, Jessica, Joey, Jeffery, Cloe, Conrad Jr., Edwin, Cody, Kami, Kennen, Kingston, Rocco, Dean, Luna, Lavirico, Joylynn, Nico, Aubrey Rose and Jeremiah; including 1 great-grandchild Azariah. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph & Alice Whitewolf, his sister Arvelous Whitewolf and brother-in-law and friend, Bill Two Moons; grandchildren Heath Whitewolf, Paul Foote, & Tassey Robinson, niece Alison Bixby and nephew Count Robinson, Sr. He is survived by his siblings: Priscilla Robinson, Joy Foote, Isadore (Farrell), Letha, Eloise, Justine & Haroldine Whitewolf; nieces: Melissa Whitewolf Royston, Patti (David) Means, Pammy (Prunie Wilson) & Tana (John Snell) Robinson, Elvira (Melvin) Woodenthigh, Christie Foote, Malinda & Sidonia Crazymule, Tanya Glenmore, Tasha Whitewolf, Alice Wells (Kahyo Magpie), Jessica (Jon Elkshoulder) & Letha Bixby. Joseph loved to be around his family and siblings, always joking and teasing them. He loved to help them out with ranch work (at his three ranches) and socializing. He was always checking in on his Girlie Dolly’s; Jessica, Letha, Tanya, Angel, Alice & Pammy whom he loved and cared for very much. Joseph worked as a ranch hand, helping his sister Priscilla, niece Pammy & nephew Tommy. He was a firefighter in his younger years. He was a member of the Elkscraper Society. He fought a two-year battle with cancer. He appreciated the help of Kim Studiner who referred him to the Cancer Center where he was told he wouldn’t last more than 6 months but he survived another 14 months to be with his family. Joseph is a descendent of Hump Back Woman, survivor of the Sand Creek Massacre, Jessie Blackbear Bixby, Mary Bixby Eastman, Lucy Eastman Beartusk families, as well as the following: Pease, Two Bulls of South Dakota & Montana, Whitewolf’s of Canada, South Dakota & Montana, and the following families: Beartusk, Black Horse, Redwoman, Rowland, Shoulderblade, Yellownose, Tangled Yellow Hair, Bearcomesout, Starvingbear, Harris, Strangeowl, Killsontop, Littlebird, Oldbear, Greeny, Flores, LaFranier, Parker, LaFever, Bolson, Brien, Littlewhirlwind, Whitedirt, Pine, Red Cherries, Big Foot, Barton, Blackbear, Woodenlegs, Fox, Curley, Sherman, Bloor, Storm, Fisher, Wolfblack, Yellowrobe, Highpine, American Horse, Selage, Gray, Tallwhiteman, Redneck’s, Eagle & Whiteman. Sorry for your loss. I remember him always coming over from across the road and getting hair cuts from My dad. Some times we would give him goofy hair cuts and just laugh sometimes he would wanna keep those goofy hair cuts. But my dad would let him sometimes. We took a picture of him but i cant find the phito of his goofy hair cuts..
