Ralph G. Upton, age 64, of Miles City, Montana passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at his home in Miles City.
Ralph G. Upton was born on October 29, 1948 the son of Ralph and Helen (Crouch) Upton. Ralph grew up and attended school in Bourbonnais, Illinois where he graduated from Bradley-Bourbonnais High School. After high school he joined the United States Army where he served overseas in Germany & Vietnam. Ralph was honorably discharged from the military. Afterword’s he began a lifelong career in construction as a Boilermaker Union Welder. In 1994 he moved to Montana where he met Terri Ailey and the two were married in Forsyth on November 28, 2000. Ralph and Terri moved to Miles City and made their home here since 2005.
Ralph enjoyed watching college football and spending time with friends and family, and he loved his dog Emmie.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Terri Upton of Miles City; one brother, Jerry (Ellen) Upton of Park Ridge, IL; one sister, Debra Upton of Great Falls, MT; nieces, Alison (Memo) Lopez and Elizabeth Upton; grandniece, Ehla Lopez and maternal aunt, Kay (Paul) Kronsted. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be held at the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials in Ralph’s name can be made to the Disabled Veterans of Montana. Condolences can be made to the family at stevensonandsons.com.
