Dear Kuehn cousins, We have many wonderful memories of Rose and she was a such a wonderful cook! We admired her as a true lady, but she also had a fun-loving sense of humor that sparked in her eyes when she knew she’d hit her mark. She and Johnny made a great couple and it’s nice to know they are together again. God bless you all.

I thought your mom was such a ‘lady” I enjoyed her Bible knowledge so much in the times we got to be in Sunday School classes and other Bible Study together. I missed her when our lives took different paths. Be comforted with the fact she is now with all the Saints in Heaven — cause she is one too.

Dear Cousins,
Aunt Rose, your Mom, was a very special person she was always so thrilled to have us stop by when we came to Terry. She loved you all dearly it was evident by all your photos an her wall in the front room. Uncle Johnny and Aunt Rose wedding was the first fancy wedding I remember and she was a beautiful bride. We all have wonderful memories of her and know she is happy in Heaven!

In 1973 a friend of mine and I flew from Anchorage Alaska to Seattle Washington and attempted to hitch hike home to Detroit. It took us seven days just to get to the underpass on the highway just outside of Terry. I walked to a gas station and called my mom. She wired us money, but to the next town over. A young woman working in the gas station introduced us to her brother who was going to college in Indianna. He played guitar and invited us to a graduation party out near the Yellowstone river. We met Derinda at this party and during the course of the evening explained our situation. She spoke with her mother Mrs Rose Kuehn and told us that her mom was going to that town to get her hair done the next day. We were out of money, but we had enough to stay in the old hotel in town and the next day Derinda and her mother picked us up and drove us to the next town, and we picked up our money and boarded a bus for home. I don’t know that anyone will see this since its 4/23/2023 nearly 50 years later, but I felt compelled to thank those two wonderful women for their kindness! Derinda and I corresponded for a while pre computer…I’m sorry to have found this sad note. Good folk out there in Terry Montana! My friend Jay and I never forgot their kindness. -Spence
