Tim and I send our deepest sympathy. I remember when we worked together at Farmers Union, Vernie always timely went to the post office and also got his morning treat. He would get a candy bar or peanuts and a coke every morning! He was very good at his job and a super nice guy!

Janice, Along with every one who knew him, I was saddened to hear of his Alzhmeimer’s and his passing. He was such a delight to know, remember the high esteem my Dad had for him. I know this is a mixed blessing time for you all, but to just know what a fine man you had in your lives for as long as you did, indeed makes you very lucky. Love to you.

Dearest Janice, Stephanie, Jeffrey, and Lambert, I am so sorry to hear of Vernie’s passing! What a great fellow he was! He was always the best part of going to fuel up at the Farmers Union! He always had a smile on his face and a joke or two to get laughter going! He certainly had a contagious laugh, a beautiful smile, and a loving heart! May you take comfort in the fact that Vernie has finally attained his own Easter and now is with his Lord and Savior! You will see him again!
That is His promise!

Our sympathy in the loss of Vern. We had just moved to Terry in 1982 so only had a few years to get to know the Kauls but whenever we were at the store, we always felt welcome… Vern had a great sense of humor. He will always be known as “one of the good guys”!
