Acquanetta Killsnight was born on July 4, 1972 to Darwin Killsontop and Doncella Bearcomesout at the Crow Agency Hospital. She passed away on November 17, 2018 in Los Ranchos, New Mexico, where she was living at the time of her death.
Although, Acquanetta was not raised on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, she had an interest in finding her mother’s family, along with her father’s family. She always wanted to know her native roots. She had plans to come back to Lame Deer for the Annual fourth of July Chiefs Pow Wow and to connect with her family.
She is preceded in death by both of her birth parents and her adopted parents, Patrick Donnie, Treva Butler and her husband, who had adopted Acquanetta when she was just two years old.
She is survived by her son, Chance Butler of Los Ranchos, NM; sister, Patrice Limpy of Mandan, ND; brother, Joseph (Tara) Simpson of Lame Deer, MT; aunts, Pauline Highwolf of Busby, MT and Lillian (Daniel) Big Man of Lame Deer, MT.
