Ada Irene (Taylor) McFarland, age 86, of Miles City passed away on Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Parkview Care Center in Miles City.
Ada was born on January 25, 1920 at the Herman Barthel home north of Miles City, the daughter of Alvin and Amanda (Krueger) Taylor. She attended Hillside primary school and graduated from high school inCohagen in 1938. She worked at Jordan for a short time after graduating. She worked 18 years at the local locker plant in Miles City. Ada married Clyde McFarland August 17, 1940 at her grandparents home in Miles City.
Ada loved gardening, canning and helping Clyde run the Bison Bar. She also loved spending time with her four grandsons.
Ada is survived by her husband Clyde McFarland of Miles City, MT; a son, Mickey McFarland and his wife Marcia of Miles City, MT; two granddaughters: Michelle (Glen) Cunningham and Mikki Jo McFarland; four great grandsons: Cory & Matthew Cunningham and Casey and Jesse Clauson all of Miles City, MT; a sister, Pansy May of Miles City, MT, a brother Vern (Mary Lynn) Taylor of Miles City, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Vic, Bud, Tex & Jim; and a sister, Lillian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
