Adolph Leidholt, age 76, of Miles City passed away at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City on August 21, 2007.
Adolph was born on April 17, 1931, at Wason Flats, the eleventh child of a family of thirteen children born to Karl and Rosana (Bauer) Leidholt. He attended Tree Coulee School at Wason Flats and Kircher School after the family moved to the Yellowstone Valley. Adolph was a very hard worker and when he was very young he went to work for various ranches. He enjoyed reminiscing about the 10 years he worked for the Thompson and Nefsy Ranches. In 1959, he went to work for the Custer County Road Department as a heavy equipment operator, retiring from there in 1994 after 35 years of service. In 1964, Adolph and Dolores Lippert Malone were married. In his retirement he enjoyed working for his nephew, Duane at his farm and in keeping his home and yard in meticulous condition. Adolph and Barbara Midgley were married June of 1997. Barbara was Adolphs sunshine especially following his debilitating stroke in 2005.Adolph was a member of the First Lutheran Church and during his lifetime was a member of the Ranger Riders and Eagles.
Adolph is survived by his wife Barbara Leidholt of Miles City, his step-children; Wally (Darlene) Malone of Gilbert, AZ, Michael (Chris) Midgley of Billings, MT, Mary Lou (Jack) Deibel of Miles City, MT and Lisa (Michael) Alley of Joplin, MT, the Leidholt brothers, Leonard (Pauline) Leidholt, Robert (Katherine) Leidholt, Phillip (Beverly) Leidholt, Eugene (Jean) Leidholt and James (Jessie) Leidholt all of Miles City, and sisters; Martha Snodgrass of Springfield, MO, Alma Hartman of Pasco, WA, and Vi (John) Howe of Miles City, MT. Also surviving him are twenty step grandchildren, 20 step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Rosana, his first wife Dolores, brothers, Julius and Edwin and sisters, Peggy Asher and Tillie DeMarris.
