Agnes Aggie Frances Ueland, age 84, passed away on Thursday, April 5th at the McCone county Nursing Home. Aggie was born on August 2oth, 1922, in Circle Montana.

Aggie was raised on a farm just outside of Circle and graduated from Circle High School.Aggie met, fell in love with and married Frank Ueland her husband of 39 years. Aggie and Frank enjoyed many successful years ranching and farming on their spread 11 miles south of Brockway. Aggie was the consummate ranchers wife, there was little on the ranch she couldnt do. Aggie began her shepherding career at the age of 5, she put a dent in the raccoon population with her trusted 22, and you know the Wildcat mounted at the entrance of the Circle High School gym, Aggie was the one who done him in! Occasionally Aggie and Frank would make their way into Brockway where they participated in community games of whist, dancing to local bands, and spending time with their friends and family. Aggie and Frank were not on the ranch alone; they had two children, Brenda and Clint.

Aggie enjoyed introducing her children to ranch life through the 4-H program keeping her and the kids busy with their sheep, horses and steers. Aggie could often be seen galloping about the ranch on favorite horse Flicker, waving her blue pock-a-dotted hat, yelling orders to all. Aggie treasured her trips to exotic places such as Branson Missouri, Carver Canada and the Norsk-Hostafest in Minot North Dakota. Aggies favorite adventure was the Big Drive of 1989.

Aggie was a very proud and devoted mother. She never missed a concert that her little drummer boy Clint participated in or missed an opportunity to brag about the artistic abilities of her daughter Brenda. Aggie was always there for her children whenever they needed to be picked up, brushed off and set back on their feet. Aggie also devoted herself to the community as a member of the V.F.W. Womens Auxiliary and The Round Cowbells.

Aggie is preceded in death by her husband Frank and son Clint. Aggie is survived by her daughter Brenda Ueland Rose of Billings and brothers Frank and Joe Wittkopp of Circle.

Visitation is Monday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer and share service at 6:00 p.m. at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Circle. Funeral services are Tuesday, April 10, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Church in Circle, MT. Interment is in the Riverview Cemetery in Circle. In lieu of flowers a memorial in memory of Aggie will be established for the Circle High School music and art programs.
