Agnes lived and believed in the Cheyenne cultural way of life. She spoke the Cheyenne language fluently and practiced her Native ways of prayer. She was a Native American Church member all her life. A very strong believer of the Roman Catholic Church, Agnes always managed to find her way to Sunday mass to make her small monetary donation. She attended school at the St. Labre Mission where she received her first Holy Communion and early education. In the sixties went to work for the mission as a dorm matron, then completed janitorial work, and later worked for the Guild Arts & Crafts. Then for a number of years she worked for the Busby Day Care under Josephine Tall Bull.
Her mother Edith, father Henry, husband Henry Limpy, sisters Clara Holmes, Edith Manley, Agnes Brady Little Head, daughters Edith, Doris, Sarah, Letha, Lillian, and Wahlena., a son James preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons Homer Limpy of Lame Deer, Clifford Limpy, Sr. of Rosebud Creek, Eugene (Patricia) Limpy of Busby, Raymond Limpy of Rosebud Creek, her daughter Mary Jane (Roger) Snake of Rosebud Creek, adopted-daughters Rosie (Clyde) Brady of Busby, Becky Big Fire Elkshoulder of Lame Deer, Kathy Black Plume of Black River Falls, a special god-child Hilda Moss of Rosebud Creek, 65 grandchildren, 116 great grandchildren, and 32 great-great grandchildren, as well as her extended family, LittleWhiteMan, Manley, BraidedHair, Flying, MedicineTop, WhiteDirt, RisingSun, Teeth, Morrison, BlackWolf, ElkShoulder. I love grandma so much. I feel very privileged to have received her love in return. She was an amazing and very strong native woman. Without her there would be no ‘us’. Creator be we us all. Love you grandma…until we meet again.
