In Memory Of

Aileen Feuerherm, age 88, of Miles City.

August 23, 1931 – January 16, 2020

Aileen Feuerherm, age 88, of Miles City passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Friendship Villa in Miles City.

Aileen was born on August 23, 1931 in Plentywood, Montana, the Daughter of Alfred and Lillian May (Albert) Kurtz. Her family moved to Miles City when Aileen was six years old.  She attended schools in Miles City where she graduated from Custer County High School.  Following graduation, she attended Life Bible College in Los Angeles for two years before returning to Miles City where she remained the rest of her life.  She married Warner Feuerherm on June 14, 1959 in Miles City and to this union three children were born Wanda, Lynda and Bill.

Prior to her marriage, Aileen was employed at the local Model Bakery and Safeway. As her own children were growing, she became a self-employed babysitter in her home for more than 43 years. She loved her kids and didn’t object to them calling her “Mrs. Perfume”. She loved her church and was a Sunday school teacher for fifteen years. Aileen never met a stranger and welcomed everyone she met with open arms and the warmest of smiles.

Aileen supported many charities and was always willing to give to all the kids’ fundraisers. She loved to participate in potlucks and family picnics. In the early years she was a March of Dimes volunteer and went door to door with the donation drive. Her grandson Levi was in her care for many years and will always be a special relationship. Saturday was her hair day and until the end of her life she could easily be recognized by her magnificent white hair.

Aileen was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred & Lillian; husband, Warner; one daughter, Lynda Feuerherm; two sisters, Yvonne Kurtz and Donna May Hollowell; two brothers, Louie and Wayne Kurtz and one brother-in-law, Jack Hollowell.

She is survived by her two children, daughter Wanda (Randy) Ayers of Miles City, son Bill (Ann) Feuerherm of Miles City; two grandsons: Levi (Cecilla) Feuerherm of Reno, NV and Brennen Feuerherm of Poplar; a stepdaughter, Chris Wright of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Arnold (Lucile) Kurtz of Alexandria, VA; special nieces, Melody (LeRoy) Schultz of Hardin, MT and Bobi Rae (Bill) Florida of Hillsboro, TX; one sister-in-law, Kathy Kurtz of Baker, MT, seven great grandchildren and all of her special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Miles City. Interment will follow at the Custer County Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:  www.stevensonandsons.com.
