Al Alphonso Ault, age 59, of Poplar passed away at his home on June 1, 2004. He was born on June 12, 1944 in Poplar to Lawrence James and Anne McGowan Ault.

He was born and raised in the Poplar Hotel. He attended High School in Poplar and graduated in 1962. He attended some schooling in Guadalajara, Mexico. He farmed most of his life, worked for MDU, was a real estate broker, and a Farm Bureau Insurance agent. Al enjoyed following high school basketball, watching his kids play ball, a good comedy, playing cards, and socializing. He really enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He also liked Road Tripping with friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife DeLaine of Poplar; three sons, Philip (Kelly) Ault of St. Helens, OR, Randal Ault of Kansas City, MO, and Gregory (Amber) Ault of Billings; nephew Carter (Lana) Swanson; two children from his previous marriage to Gloria Buckles: James Roman of Denver, CO and Kimberly (Ken) McGraw of Glenwood Springs, CO; a sister Pat Cowan of Arizona and grandchildren: Sloane, Rachael, Camryn and Addison Ault, Michael and Annie McGraw. His parents, two brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.

Vigil services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Poplar City Cemetery.
