In Memory Of

Albert Bartow

Visitation: will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette

Funeral liturgy: will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2004 at the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, WY

Interment: will follow at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota with military honors provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard

Funeral liturgy for Albert Bartow will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2004 at the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Karl Millis officiating.

Albert Bartow, age 76, of Gillette, Wyoming, died June 21, 2004, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.

Albert Leroy Bartow was born December 16, 1927 the son of Edward Joseph and Stella Mae (Cormier) Bartow in Sunburst, Montana. Albert was raised and educated in Sunburst, Montana, graduating from Cut Bank High School in 1945. Upon his schooling, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving mostly in the Phillipines. He was honorably discharged in 1948. Albert returned to Cut Bank, Montana to begin an almost fifty year career in the oil field industry. In 1953, he married Marilyn Thompson in Chinook, Montana. The couple started their family in Montana and moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1961, where he has resided since. In 1999, Albert retired from the oilfield industry.

He enjoyed visiting with friends and of course spending time with his family.

Albert is survived by six sons: Bob Bartow, Ed Bartow, Jon (Vikki) Bartow, all of Gillette, Wyoming, Tim Bartow of Rolla, Missouri, Brian (Theresa) Bartow and Chris Bartow all of Gillette, Wyoming; his daughter, Amy (Mike) Just of Gillette, Wyoming; two brothers: Richard Bartow of Great Falls, Montana; Douglas Bartow of Virginia Beach, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2001; and one brother, Gerald Bartow.
