In Memory Of

Aldo “Jiggs” Wolff, age 67, of Circle

May 10, 1955 – December 1, 2022

Aldo Jiggs Wolff, age 67, of Circle, Montana, passed away December 1st, 2022, in Billings, Montana. Jiggs was born to Aldo Wolff and Marian Lingle on May 10th, 1955, in Wolf Point, Montana. He was greeted by a sister, but 5 more siblings were to follow.

In 1972, Jiggs met the love of his life Debra Schillinger, who he would marry in 1974. They would spend the next 48 years building their dreams together. In the fall of 1974, they would have a daughter Teresa followed by a son Wilton in 1976.

As a youngster Jiggs excelled in many sports throughout the years, which he would later enjoy many years of softball on the Rolandson Team. Always staying active playing team basketball into his 40s, or shop ball with his kids.

At an early age, Jiggs found a calling to farm life. After graduating from Circle High School in 1973, Jiggs would continue to work for his dad. Through custom cutting and trucking he would continue to build his acres. In the late 70s, he went off on his own buying a farm in 1979 to build his legacy. He would dedicate his life to the next big crop, doing his best to be a steward of his land. Jiggs would later help to break the mold for introducing new specialty crops to the area.

In 2002, the family would grow again. Pete Marlenee married his “bestest daughter” bringing along a beautiful granddaughter Darby. His unmeasurable love kept him busy following his daughter’s rodeo, his son’s passion for pool and golf, or joining in on Pete’s love to travel or slingshot across the black hills of South Dakota.
Jiggs was proud of his family, who worked tirelessly to get the crops seeded, sprayed, harvested, and to market. He had truly built his beautiful family farm, in which he took great pride. The hours were long, but he always found the time to jump on the mower, till, pull weeds, and maintain things to keep his place and equipment looking good.

If anyone knew Jiggs, he had a soft spot for his wife and daughter’s love of horses. Often claiming he had a horse for every cow plus extras. While he was a big man he had a soft heart for his dogs, who were always along for the ride to work or travel. His Chopper was usually always tucked away inside his shirt, while his “workin’ dog” Harley was at his side.

Growing up on a motorcycle was a passion that lived on until the end. With Debbie on the back, later friends like Gary, Dennis, and Jon, would join in on the Harley trips. The “Wild Hogs” as the family joked about the thousands of miles the Harley brothers spent crossing the nation will never be forgotten.

A pitmaster at heart but could always cook and cater to a crowd. A social butterfly, as his family called him, was always up for a game of cards with his friends. He loved visiting and entertaining, always saying people should take the time to visit with friends. Jiggs always had a sense of humor, in fact telling jokes lasted until the final CT scan. A man who loved life, loved his family, and loved to give back to his community as much as he could. Always trying to raise money for a local organization or giving to someone in need. Quite possibly, you were one of the lucky ones to get a poem or a daily ditty song as he was always singing away.

Jiggs loved to travel. There was rarely a trip without his “Big Mamma” Debbie at his side. He especially loved to travel with his family and his dogs. In the beginning it was camping at the lake or a state nearby but eventually to the East Coast Smoky Mountains, to the California Redwood Forest, to the sunsets of the Utah arches to the Texas border, to the New Mexico, Arizona desert cacti. In 2020, Jiggs bought his new motorhome to keep living their dreams of seeing new places. Jiggs firmly believed in the beauty of our nation and was on a quest to mark places off the map.

Throughout his life he battled numerous health issues but would always say he was better than a lot of people who had a worse condition. He was thankful everyday for the life he had. Jiggs death came as a tragedy of a simple procedure that left his body with an inoperable clot destroying the entire digestive system. The heart beat strong with will to live but in the end, it was not enough to save his life.

Jiggs is survived by his wife, Debra Wolff; his daughter, Teresa (Pete) Marlenee; his son Wilton Wolff; his sister Vickie (Donnie) Bogar, sister Kim (Scott) Nefzger, sister Patti Cebulski, brother Todd, sister Toni (Babes) Bishop, brother Eddy (Debbie) Sanders. Also survived by many family members, cousins, and friends he called family.
He is preceded in death by his father Aldo Wolff and Mother Marian Lingle.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to go in Jiggs name to the local McCone County Health Center, local VFW, or McCone County Senior Center.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11th, 2022, at the Circle High School Gymnasium. A reception will follow at the VFW in Circle.
