Alice Faye Little Sun, 61 from the banks of Red Nose Valley was called home on August 23rd, 2023. “Goo Goo” Faye was born on July 14th, 1962 to Horace Little Sun Sr. and Agnes Russell. Her Cheyenne name was Hestaneoo’e which means “Stands against the Wind Woman”. Alice “Goo Goo” Faye in her early years worked at Northern Cheyenne Tribal Schools and elderly as a cook. She was known as our “Fry bread Queen”. She was a master chef in making fry bread Best in the West! Her daughter will carry on her legacy. She loved all her grandchildren and many other children. Being a head cook she cared to make sure they were fed w/her good cooking and that they didn’t go home hungry she use to say this might be the only time they ate. She had a good loving heart and a warm smile for everyone.

Then her love for the game of softball. This Lady put in work. She’s about to give us all a heart attack with a full court waiting patiently while we yelled “Come on Alice!” sweating but never showing signs of stress, just delivering the BIG HOME RUN BOMB! She was a home run hitter for the CHEYENNE SUNS. So heaven gained an angel but as for the team they are still going Busby Strong!

Goo Goo Faye is surviving by her long time “Weasel”, two kids Janae Marie Little Sun and Merlin Wade Little Sun. Thirteen grandchildren Janesha Weasel Bear, Jazzy Little Sun, Robert Jr., Raida, Razeira, Raziah Grinsell, Merasia Fisher, Merlin Little Sun Jr, Meraya, Meya, Marlena, and Marcel Little Sun. Her sisters Dyann Dale Phipps of Gillette WY, Rebecca Little Sun, Betsy Little Sun, Verda King, Evaleen Braveheart, Jenny Killsontop, Alice Gene Russell, Lujuana Haugen, Eugenia and Corine Russell, Joyce Threefingers, and Patti Walksalong. Her brothers Horace Little Sun Jr, Troy Killsontop, Vernon Littlebear, Lance and Merle Russell, Leland Russell, and Johncee. Nieces Dawnette, Darisa, Dalena, Caelan, Dalrae, Amber, Ashley, Trina, Thyanna, Rheanna, Tawni J. and Trina. Nephews Jesse, Kyle, Leslie, T-Bone, Talon, Doug, Jr, Dakota, Darrin, Dallen, Third, Ivan, and JT. She is survived by a “Whole Bunch” of nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. She loved them all.

She’s proceeding in death by her parents Horace Little Sun Sr. and Agnes Russell. Her sisters Renita Ogle and Katrina Little Sun, Pat Limpy. Her brother Merlin John Little Sun. Niece April Medicine Horse. her grandchild Marko Little Sun.
The family would like to apologize if they left anyone out in their time of grief, their family is large.
