Allan Garner Violett Sr.
On the morning of February 26, 2016, Allan passed peacefully away in comfort of his home at the age of 69.
Allan Garner Violett Sr. was born in Billings, MT on July 6,1946. He was the first child born to Wayne Violett and Margaret (Robinson) Violett. Al’s Sister Sherrie joined them quite a few years later in 1957.

He continued with that until retiring in July of 2004. Al and Milly enjoyed the last years of his work life traveling from state to state and county fair to county fair.
His family and friends knew him as “AL” or “Big Al”. Al enjoyed many activities but hunting, fishing and camping were among his favorites. Each of Al’s enjoyed activities always included uncles, aunts, siblings, cousins or friends.

I remember Al attending a Parent Teacher conference on behalf of one of his children. He asked for a copy of the textbook so he could study with his child. That isa revealing request. It was easy to know that he loved his wife and children, worked hard at his job, was a good friend to those he let in his world. A good man has gone to Heaven.

Ray and Twila Loveridge family says
Our thought go out to all of Al’s family-and his extended family-Al was a vital part of Colstrip for many years-When Al and Millie moved to South Dakota they would take us in during the Sturgis Rally and treat everyone as their family. By the time we got tents set up Al would have cold beer and hot pizza there for us-Every morning started with great coffee and even greater conversation with Al and Millie . Often afternoons and evenings were filled visiting with the many others that were passing through the rally that would stop to see Al and Millie, and with great meals that Al and Millie always invited us to enjoy with them. Usually the day wound down when we would get together around the fire at night and Al and Millie always asked how things were with your family, your job, and your life-and Al always listened -and Al always cared. We will all miss you Al-Sincerely-Ray and Twila Loveridge
