In high school he was very sociable and well liked. He enjoyed Home Ec. and developed a lifelong passion for cooking and enjoyed learning how to make Traditional foods, from his Grandma Suzy at the heritage center.
Alvin never missed a Sundance his 31 years of life. Helping put up the center poll brought him tremendous joy and honor. Alvin cared very much about the Sioux/Cheyenne Little Big Horn Ride and the Riders, which he participated in for 25 years. He also loved being a runner for the people at camps and along rides. Another passion of Alvin’s was playing pool, he was real good at it to. Alvin very compassionate, caring, and giving to all those and everyone in his life and even strangers. He never hesitated to help and showed everyone he met with kindness and respect. He had zero tolerance for bullying and harassment of anyone he cared about and even others that he did not know. In his youth he was an a a u wrestler. He was never aggressively competitive and enjoyed the friendships made and he enjoyed all the places it took him. He met the love of his life on April 2019, Tianna, with whom he was blessed with a beautiful family. Alvin was such a loving father to his baby girls Samara Ezri and Casey Crystal, Maddy, Macy, and Son/Nephew Derious. He was a very loving father. His greatest joy was his girls, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them, he was in no doubt their favorite person in the world. He was a genuine, gentle, loving, kind, honest, hard working, spiritual, compassionate person and a perfect example of what a Man should be. He was a one of a kind Son, Grandson, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, to more than just his relatives and a friend to all that had the honor to meet him or come across his mind. Dear Family this is such a terrible loss it makes me a bit dizzy. We’ve known and loved this wonderful man since he was a child and though he has changed during his shortened life, one thing remained the same, a loving, peaceful, loyal, and humorous beyond compare Northern Cheyenne. He really exemplified what that means. I will miss our shared stories and laughter and I will remember and share. When so many mourn Love is the result

To Alvin’s loved ones, I am sadden and grieved for you, to have lost this fine young man. Home Ec with Alvin was certainly a pleasure! I need to add that I miss Crystal too, she was an outstanding young lady. The days are hard, take care of yourselves as best you can, grieving is so exhausting, and difficult.
My prayers and deep care.
