So many wonderful memories of Aunt Vena. She always made me smile (well, sometimes I just had to laugh out loud). She had such a good sense of humor. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. She will be missed.

Even though Aunt Vena had many, many nieces and nephews, she had a special way of making each one feel unique and special. I am fortunate to have lived so close to her and to have grown up around her so that I could experience her warmth and charm. May we all remember how much she has touched our lives.
Peggy Wilson Latrielle says
Growing up in the small town of Terry was a blessing, because it seemed everyone looked out for everyone else. I remember being in the Community Church choir during my high school years, and Vena was in the choir as well. One week I felt unprepared for the choir’s main selection, and I will always recall Vena looking at me and saying, “Just follow me!” What a sweet lady!

My mother passed away at 4:50 A.M. November 7th. She was 99 years old….she would have been 100 January 14….She was so many things to me…my card partner….my bingo buddy….we loved to play scrabble…she beat me most of the time. I would tell my grandchildren she was older then the mountains and more precious then the rarest diamond. She had a zest for life unequaled….in the end she could not do anything she loved…but she always cracked a smile when she would see me on my afternoon visit. May you rest in peace mom…..go with God…I love you forever….your loving son Gary
Nicolette Eggerud says
My Grandma was an amazing human being. She used to care for me when I was a young child and helped to teach me the difference between right and wrong, to have a love of reading, and always to have a sense of humor. She taught me to play Pinochle when I was six and took me to Bingo with her all the time. She was a loving and generous soul. It has been a joy spending time with her during her last months. She always had a smile and her face would light up at the sight of me and my dad. My children had a great love for her. My youngest daughter is five and she would always want to go visit Grandma. She would run to her and hug her. She would try to help push her wheelchair to the lunchroom. She would always tell her she loved her and though Grandma didnt speak much for Halo she would always tell her she loved her too. All her nurses talked about what a strong woman she was and also about her sense of humor. I am glad she is at peace now and re-united with her loved ones. I miss you Grandma and love you very much. I know this isn’t goodbye its until we meet again.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Alvina Hoagland – I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in many beautiful memories of Mrs. Hoagland at this difficult time. The promise of Paradise, the perfect conditions God originally intended for mankind in the Garden of Eden will be fulfilled including God’s “will being done as in Heaven also upon Earth” (Matthew 6:9, 10). I hope that you are comforted by the many wonderful Bible promises (John 17:3).

Karen, Bonnie & Gary your Mom was very special to us. She always greeted us with a big smile and great conversation. After we moved from Montana we would usually return for the Bucking Horse Sale in Miles City and would look for her on the corner during the parade.
She was such a delight.
She will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.
Sally

I have missed my visits with Aunt Vena since she left Miles City. Leola and I always made an effort to stop to see Aunt Vena. We so enjoyed our visits with her. Such a pleasant person and so active even in later years. We often didn’t find her home as she was off playing cards, bingo, etc. I will miss the Martin History that she was so glad to share to our generation.
Thoughts and Prayers to the family.
