Funeral Service: will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Chad Bruchlacher of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Gillette officiating.
Interment: will follow the service at Gillettes Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Amanda Luedtke, age 88, of Gillette, Wyoming, died on Monday, March 8, 2004 at her home in Gillete, Wyoming of natural causes.
Amanda Hildegarde Luedtke was born August 25, 1915, the daughter of Mary (Hille) and Christian Hins in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. Amanda was born and raised on a farm outside Wissington Springs, South Dakota and later moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to work as a waitress where she met Walter Luedtke in 1945. The couple was transferred to Great Falls, Montana by the Army Air Force, where they had five children. Amanda moved to Gillette, Wyoming in the 1980s and has lived there until present.
Amanda is survived by two sons: Wally Luedtke of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Karl Luedtke of Gillette, Wyoming; two daughters: Marie Meade of Great Falls, Montana; Mona Starr of Bismarck, North Dakota; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter at birth, Marylan Luedtke
