In Memory Of

Amanda Zimmerman, age 45, of Miles City.

January 5, 1980 – December 24, 2025

Amanda Lynn “Mandy” Zimmerman of Miles City passed away December 24, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital, Billings MT after a short illness.

Mandy was born January 5th, 1980 to Les & Laura Zimmerman in Miles City, MT. She was the youngest of five daughters. Mandy had a lot of special needs as she was born with cerebral palsy. She started school at a very early age and received her diploma from CCDHS in May of 2000!

She was never naughty and liked to watch television. Before relying on a feeding tube Mandy enjoyed chocolate pudding and cooked cereal. Dad could always get a smile out of Mandy by knocking on the table and calling for “Tootie”.

Mandy is survived by her Mom & Dad of the family home. Four sisters; Ramona Christianson of Miles City, Roxanne (Dean) Petroff of Atkins, IA, Shannon (Scott) Lensegrav of Sturgis, SD and Shauna Zimmerman of Billings, MT; six nephews, four nieces, two great-nephews and 3 great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Mandy received meticulous care from our Mom & Dad for many, many years. Dad built lifts, ramps and swings for her until age and health caught up with both of them and caregivers had to be hired. We thank all the caregivers for the care you gave Mandy and everything you have done for her!

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30th at 11:00 am thru 1:00 with a funeral service to begin at 1:00. Mandy’s family would like to invite everyone for refreshments immediately following the service.

Les & Laura, I am so glad you were Amanda’s parents. Your love and care extended her life longer than the Dr’s gave her when she was born. Your tender care and patience are commendable. I know you will miss her and she is leaving a huge hole in your hearts. We will miss her too. Such a beautiful person whose smile and laugh will not be forgotten. All my love, Lori

I remember the Zimmermans stopping by our farm to visit. And our house cat was by Mandy. And my dad was going to move the cat. But Lester said it’s ok….Mandy loved the cat rubbing and purring by her. Mandy was blessed with dedicated loving parents. Prayers and love Lester, Laura and family

Peace be with all of Mandys family and friends. She was so loved! I will always carry a piece of her in my heart. She had a way with people through her glaces, her laughing and that GOLDEN smile of hers. Couldn’t help but love that girl. She was special in so many ways and taught many life lessons to those who had the honor and privilege to know and care for her. Love ya Laura and Less and families

I took care of Mandy many years ago, when I worked for DEAP. Always enjoyed the time I spent with her. It made me feel good, when I would arrive and tap my fingers on her bedroom door because she always knew it was me and she would get a big smile and turn her head to the door.
To Les and Laura and family you could always tell that Mandy was happy and loved.
Your in my thoughts and prayers,
    Shannette
