Amy Eileen White Dirt Jaure, Mohonoone’e (Gros Ventre Woman), a beloved member of the Busby community has gone on from this world to the next to be with her Lord and her Baby Cakes, Jesse Jaure, whom she missed and loved endlessly. She was born to her parents, the late Patrick and Sylvia Teeth Whitedirt. She was an avid member of the church and strongly believed in the power of God’s word, and would often be singing her favorite gospel songs and giving testimony in and out of church service. She truly loved the Lord. Amy was always surrounded by loved ones, which was one of her strongest characteristics in being a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and motherly figure to everyone in her presence. Her welcoming smiles and warm hugs brought a feeling of security and safety to anyone in need. Amy’s home was the place to go for a sense of belonging many sought. Her work history includes a Detox Technician at Recovery center, an Assistant Teacher at the Northern Cheyenne Tribal School, Sunday school teacher, Foster Parent, Crafter, and a Home Maker. In 1977, Amy first met the love of her life, Jesse Jaure, whom chased her for 8 years. They would later meet again at Denver March Powwow in 1985. They welcomed their daughter Sheila Rose Jaure on February 28, 1986, and then later united in marriage on November 14, 1987. Amy then became a mom to two more children, her sons Romer Jaure and Baby Jesse Whitedirt. JD Roman Nose, Derek Whitedirt, Terrance Limpy, Jacoby Whitedirt, Michael Jeske, Casey Whitedirt, and Ben Jaure were her sonny boys. Amy also enjoyed being a grandma to her grandchildren Taleisha Rowland, Isaiah Limberhand, Nellyanna Morrison, Chey Roundstone, Jr, Demarcus and Jessie WalksAlong. Fred(Jesse) was her baby. Nellyanna and Romer were her best friends, please keep them in your prayers. Dora Morrison was her P.I.C. Although dialysis took a major toll on her body, she always maintained a lively spirit and managed to make it to celebrations and family functions despite being drained from the treatments. She would make it to church no matter the circumstance, and would take the time to bring along whomever she could to hear the word of God. Visiting family and friends was also a favorite past time of Amy’s, especially with all of her many sisters and those she met throughout her life. She never let any of the connections she made in life go unforgotten, and often took the time to re-connect with each of them no matter the time or distance. She was a faithful member of House of Healing Church. She spent a lot of time texting or calling her sisters in the Lord which included Michelle Cadena Wilson, Rennie Whiteman, Kim Brien, Eloise Snow, Jamie Burnette, Robin Hope, and Deandra Littlewhiteman. She also adopted Pastor Dean Buffalo as a nephew. Preceding Amy in death are her parents Patrick and Sylvia, brothers Patrick, Jr., and Larry, sister Pattz Whitedirt, cousin sisters Monica Whitedirt, Mardel Woodenlegs, and Diane Little Bear; Uncles Gilbert Whitedirt and Corliss Teeth; nephews, Valdo Evans, Casey Whitedirt and Dasher Whitedirt. Niece Lisa Whitedirt Cain, grandson Tom Morrison, and granddaughter Ramona Roman Nose. Survivors include her mini-me and namesake Mohonoone’e, her children, grandchildren, childhood friends and sisters Robin Hope, Rynalea Whiteman Pena, Eloise Snow, her brother Mike Roach, and good friend Cindy Harris from Tennessee. The Washakie Family. Many cousin sisters and cousin brothers from both the Teeth and Whitedirt families. Grandchildren Nathan Longsioux, Keyonna and Kevin Whitedirt, Myron and Angelique Oldman, Jalen and Byron Whistling Elk, and her adopted daughter Kassie Little Bear. She has many more adopted kids too numerous to name here. Amy was a mom to anybody who needed a mom. Special thanks to Billings Clinic Dialysis Center, Assembly of God Church, Northern Cheyenne Transportation drivers, Julialynn and Janice for their steadfast help with arrangements, and also the many unmentioned family and friends that are no less important. The family truly respects the time you have taken to help us during this hard time of mourning, and please forgive us if we failed to mention your name.

To all of Amy’s family, young and old: the loss of such a caring soul and leading Christian in the community leaves a great vacuum awaiting to be filled. Amy was such a precious person. She radiated with the God’s Love. She shared about the God ideas she had and how God supplied her needs. I am so thankful God put her in our lives.
