With hearts full of cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Amy Jo McNamara (Dean), who was called to her eternal rest on November 5, 2024, at the age of 52, in Miles City, Montana. Born on December 29, 1971, in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, Amy was the beloved daughter of Gene and the late Jody Dean.
In a life marked by quiet dignity and grace, Amy was the epitome of compassion and patience, her gentle humor and kindheartedness touching all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She held her heritage close to her heart and served as the cornerstone of her family, offering love and support in abundance.
Her devoted partnership with John Sackman III was a testament to unwavering love and mutual respect. The joys of motherhood and later, grandmotherhood, were her most treasured roles, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Amy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her father, Gene Dean; her beloved partner, John Sackman III; her siblings, James Dean and Joe (Lisa) Dean; her children, McKenzie Mitcham, Kiley (Austin) Johnson, Abbe Sackman, and John Sackman IV; as well as her adored grandchildren. Reunited with her mother, Jody Dean, Amy now rests in peace.

My condolences to the family. When losing a loved one it can be unbearable. In the Bible book of Isaiah 25:8 Jehovah God promises soon to “swallow up death forever.” He also promises to bring back those who have fallen asleep in death (Acts 24:15). In a little while longer this kind of pain will be a thing of the past (Revelations 21:4). May these scriptures bring you comfort in this difficult time (jw.org)
