In Memory Of

Ann Walter

Visitation: Sunday, August 6 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolf Point

Interment: will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wolf Point

Annie Spitzer Walter, 88, of Wolf Point, passed away August 2, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Home where she had lived for the past year.

She was born December 21, 1917 to Louisa (Munsch) and George Naasz in Terry, MT. Ann married Rudolph Spitzer April 24, 1938, in Wolf Point, where they lived and worked until Rudy passed away on September 27, 1973. Ann married Joseph Walter in Wolf Point on August 29, 1976. They moved to Great Falls in February of 1983. Joe passed away on February 12, 1990. Ann continued living in their home in Great Falls until returning to Wolf Point in May, 1999.

Ann worked for White Star Laundry for eleven years, then for J C Penney in Wolf Point until retiring in February, 1983. She was a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and of the Trinity Lutheran congregations in Wolf Point and Great Falls. Ann taught Sunday School and was a member of the Lutheran Womens Missionary League for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning as well as crocheting and playing pinochle. Family time was very special for Ann, and she enjoyed her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and their activities.

Ann is survived by her daughter Shirley (Gary) McCrea of Wolf Point and her son Dale E. (Cheryl) Spitzer of Great Falls; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kim (Kevin) Frazer, Justin and Cassie of Lakewood, CO; Debra (Gene) Loendorf, Lee and Loni of Wolf Point; Julie McCrea of Tucson, AZ; and Rhonda Weaver of CO. She is also survived by sisters Amelia Nitschke of Wolf Point, Viola Cummins of Elkhart, IN, and Lorraine Walley of Choteau, MT; and brothers Edmond Naasz of Newberry Springs, CA, Daniel Naasz of Willow Springs, MO, and Raymond Naasz of South Corona, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband's, Rudolph Spitzer and Joseph Walter, sister Elvina Naasz, and brothers, Elmer, Alvin, and Jacob Naasz.
