Funeral Service: Friday, January 23, 2009 at 10:00am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lame Deer, MT

Burial: Will follow in the Family Cemetery in Lame Deer, MT

Annie Marie (Gress) Burns, age 79 of Lame Deer, MT. went on to be with the Lord on Monday, January, 19, 2009.

Annie was born in Hardin, Mt on March 31, 1929 to William and Anna Gress. She married George E (Dempsey) Burns, Sr. on May 28, 1948 in Lame Deer, MT. Annie and her husband operated the Cheyenne Trading Post and EY--Ranch Motel until 1970.To her children she was Momma and to all others Grandma Annie.Annie enjoyed a good game of bingo with her bingo partners Teddy McMakin and Connie Brien. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. She was a loving mom and grandma who was devoted to her family and the church. Annie had a open door to all who were in need. Momma will be dearly missed.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband George E. (Dempsey) Burns, Sr.; her son Robert James Burns; her parents William and Anna Gress, and her 10 brothers and 1 sister.Surviving family include her sisters, Barbara Hilstad, Eva Korber, Catherine Schindler, Margaret Lind, Rosie Heedick and Francis (Sissy) Burnette and her brother Buddy Gress; her children, Georgie Ann Burns, Bonnie (Wesley) Spottedelk, Ron (Bernadette) Burns, Sr., Jack (Terri) Burns, James (Sue Chen) Burns, John (Charlene) Burns and her grandchildren whom she raised, Stacie (Ed) Joiner, Waylon (Hazel) Burns and Kyle (Toni) Burns. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and adopted daughters, Connie Brien, June LittleBird, Mary Spang, Phyllis Talawyma.

We apologize if we have forgotten anybody, our family is very large.

We would like to thank the staff in the ICU of St. Vincent for their kindness and compassion during our loss.
