Outdoor funeral services for Anthony Vance will be held Friday at 10:00 am at El and Sue Belishs property on Early Creek Road near Ranchester; burial will follow at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Stevenson-Wilson funeral Home in Gillette.
Mr. Vance died Monday, August 29, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Campbell County. He was working for RCR Well Service at the time of his death.
Anthony Scot Vance was born August 18, 1984 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Bret Vance and Sammie (Renfrow) Vance. He attended schools in Wyoming, Alaska, and Arizona, completing high school in 2002.
Anthony was an especially caring and well though-of person. He was a gifted mechanic and spent much time working with hands alongside his grandfather, Sam Renfrow where an eye for quality and a spirit of patience were instilled within him. In addition, Anthony enjoyed many types of music and was a self-taught guitarist spending many hours practicing the songs of the day. His greatest sense of enjoyment was found in the out-of-doors while working alongside his great-grandparents, Walt and Annie Belish at the Lazy BW Ranch in Ranchester. Further, Anthony was an enthusiastic outdoorsman spending much time camping, snowboarding, bowhunting, and shooting competitive archery.
Anthony will be especially missed by his Mother, Sammie Renfrow-Hulm and his Sister/Best Friend, Jamie Isbell, as well as his step-dad Todd Hulm of Goodyear, Arizona; his father and step-mother, Bret and Troylene Vance and step-siblings, Hunter Young, Aaron Sarantos, and Amy Sarantos of Laramie; his brother, Sean Vance, of Boise; his maternal grandparents, Sam and Elaine Renfrow of Sterling, Alaska; his paternal grandmother, Pennie Vance of Sheridan; his paternal great-grandparents, Walt and Annie Belish of Ranchester, his step-grandparents, Lee and Jean Hulm of Goodyear, Arizona and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
