Funeral Services: will be Thursday June 17, 2010 in the Concordia Lutheran Church of Forsyth at 11am.
Burial: with Military Honors will follow in the Forsyth Cemetery.
Archie Stabio, age 88, of Forsyth, MT, loving grandfather, father, husband, brother and friend passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010.
Archie was born on August 30, 1921 in the Broadus, MT area to Dominica (Morella) and Victor Stabio. He was a veteran of World War II serving at Fort Pyote Air Force Base, TX. He wed his sweetheart, Betty Lou in 1943 and settled in Ashland, MT to raise a family. Archie drove truck, worked for LP Anderson tending cattle and crops and most recently drove cars for his special friend Reed at Marcy Auto. Archie enjoyed working with horses, farming, ranching, watching the news, having coffee with friends, dancing and giving his grandchildren whisker burns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Della Wise and Virginia Kimblon, brothers, Joseph, George, and John, son Bruce Stabio, and his brother-in-law John Ball.
In addition to his wife Betty, Archie is survived by his sisters, Margaret Johnson and Norma Osborne, brother Charlie (Betty Lou) Stabio, sister-in-law Evelyn Ball of Alaska, daughters, Myrna (Ken) Quale of Glendive, MT, Gloria (Bud) Butts of Miles City, MT, and Beverly (Dub) Garst of Gillette, WY, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We his family would like to specially thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers and the many family, friends and neighbors who loved and cared for Dad.
Memorials are suggested to the Rosebud Healthcare Foundation or the Concordia Church of Forsyth.
