Funeral Services for Ardienna Kretschman of Gillette Wyoming, will be held at 10:00 am. Saturday May 28, 2005 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Joel Wright of the First Presbyterian. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette Wyoming.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00p.m Friday May 27, 2005, at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
Ardienna Janet Kretschman, 72, died suddenly May 25, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, of complications from surgery.
She was born June 29, 1932 in Jordan, Montana, to Robert Bruce and Etta Mae (Eby) Curtis. She attended schools in Garfield County, Montana. She moved to Campbell County in 1950 and has been on the family ranch since 1962.
On August 13, 1950, she married James Allen Robb of Gillette, Wyoming. To this union five daughters and one son were born, they divorced in 1961.
She married Claude Leighton (Jeff) Oliver on August 16, 1961. To this union two daughters and three stepsons were added to her life. She was widowed in 1975. On June 22, 1978 she married Carl Kenneth Kretschman.
Over the years she was involved in 4-H Clubs, Cattlewomens Association, Cow Belles, Levi and Lace Square Dancing, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever; she was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had ranch fellowship services at her home for several years. She never met a stranger.
Besides ranching and running the Horse Creek Pheasant Farm, in the early years she drove school bus and worked at Little Powder River School. For the past 29 years she was employed by H&R Block.
She is survived by her husband Carl, her daughters Patty Jo (James) Carver, Wanda Jean (Randy) Materi, Michele Marie (Kevin) Craig, Kelly Sue Oliver Kalkhoff all of Gillette, Wyoming. Janice Diane (Calvin) Cook of Newcastle Wyoming, and Jackie Lynn (Joe) Kalkhoff of Manning Iowa; One son Jimmy Dean (Valery) Oliver and one stepson Terry Leigh (Betty Jo) Oliver, both of Gillette, Wyoming; Thirty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren. One brother Robert G (Virginia) Curtis of West Covina, California. Two sisters, Darlene Swede (Robert) McCue of Buffalo, Wyoming and Carol N. (Donald) McDonald of Cohagen, Montana. Two step brothers Jerry (Connie) OConner of Popular, Montana and Allen Manley of Greatfalls, Montana. Plus a large extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother, her daughter Ruth Ellen Rech and two stepsons Jerry Leighton and Berry Gene Oliver.
