Arlene Lorraine Hubbert Thompson, age 77, of Alexander, ND formerly of Terry passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 after a brief illness.
Arlene was born on July 3, 1939 in Lemmon, South Dakota to Roy and Elizabeth Neese. She graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive. Arlene met the love of her life, Dale Hubbert, and in 1963 they were united in marriage in Gillette, Wyoming. Together they raised their five children: Don, David, Kelly, Laurie & Michelle. Arlene graduated from nursing school and became an RN, a profession that truly showcased the caring and compassionate soul she was. She was known for her kindness and touched many lives during her wonderful career. Arlene and her family spent many weekends decompressing at their cabin on Fort Peck Lake, often enjoying their get away with close friends Keith and Pam Hanson. It was a little piece of heaven on earth.
Arlene had such an amazing talent for finding extra time to spend crafting. All of her family and friends looked forward to receiving her beautifully wrapped gifts that were filled with her wonderful creations. Arlene lost her husband, Dale, in 2006. She later met and married Ronald Thompson and they made their home in Alexander, North Dakota in the summers and Mesa, Arizona in the winters. This was a dream come true, giving them an escape from the cold Montana and North Dakota winters. She and Ron enjoyed many mornings going from one estate sale to another finding their next greatest trinkets and treasures.
Arlene is survived by three sons: Don Neese of Miles City, MT; David (Shirley) of Alberton, MT; and Kelly (Dulcy) of Fallon, MT; two daughters: Laurie of Terry and Michelle (Roger) Gamble of Nampa, ID; six grandchildren: Buddy (Debi) Neese of Billings, MT; Cori (Travis) Brothers of Bismarck, ND; Shawna Christofferson of Miles City, MT; Dale James “DJ” of Bozeman, MT; Bailey Baptiste and Krew Gamble of Nampa, ID; six great grandchildren: Dylan, Logan, Ryen, Tristen, Avery and Kenadee; and her husband Ron of Alexander, ND. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents, her siblings and her daughter-in-law Rosa Neese.
