Visitation: will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth with family to receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Funeral Services: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth

Interment: Forsyth Cemetery

Arthur William Polich, age 93, long time Rosebud County farmer and rancher, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth with his family by his side.

Art was born in Roundup on March 21, 1917, the son of John and Petra (Shubat) Polich.He was raised on the family homestead north of Roundup until the age of 13 when the family moved to Cartersville. In 1931, Art finished his schooling at Rosebud and shortly thereafter met the love of his life Vesta Bromley. They were united in marriage on February 2, 1941 in Forsyth. Following their marriage, they moved out to the family farm where they farmed and ranched for over 70 years.Arts passion was his farm and his animals. In his later years, he loved to sit in his pickup and watch his cattle by the hours. He loved playing cards, bowling, square-dancing, visiting with his neighbors, and riding his horses, Skeeter and Guy. He also loved to watch sports including his beloved Shaq. But most of all he loved his family.

Art was involved with or a mentor for the Rosebud Treasure County Fair Board, P.C.A., Cartersville Irrigation District, A.S.C.S, R.E.A., Rosebud/Cartersville School Board, and the Stockmans Association. He was a past recipient of the Farmer of the Year Award and the Conservationist of the Year Award.

Art is survived by his wife, Vesta Polich of Cartersville; three sons - Jim and wife Carol Polich of Bozeman, John and wife Linda Polich of Miles City, and Don and wife Heather Polich of Forsyth: 3 grandchildren - Sarah Parr and husband Ben Parr, Rachel Polich, and Matthew Polich and wife Alta Polich; and 2 great-grandchildren - Christian and Lane Parr.

Art was preceded in death by two brothers - Lud Polich and Rudy Polich: 3 sisters - Eva Nygaard, Julia Althoff, and one sister in infancy: and one granddaughter - Amy Dawn Polich.

General visitation will start Tuesday morning, February 15, 2011. There will be a Family To Greet Friends gathering from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Stevenson and Sons Funeral home in Forsyth, Mt. The Funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in their chapel. Interment will take place in the Forsyth Cemetery following the service.
