Arthur “Chuck” Charles Randall, Jr. died at home on July 17, 2023 with his mother by his side from end stage renal failure.
Chuck was born to Arthur “Charlie” Charles Randall, Sr. and Betty Lou (Jerrel) on September 7, 1972. Chuck was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at just 9 months old. Quite a bit of his life’s activities were dictated by his health but he tried hard not to miss out.
Chuck played baseball and soccer as a young man. He was also a member of the Prairie Scooters 4-H club. He did woodworking projects and showed his dog, Jewel. Jewel was a gift to him from his Aunt Anna Mae and Uncle Donnie Whitmus. He was able to take grand champion twice with Jewel at the county fair.
Chuck’s love for cars began in high school. He loved them fast and loud. He was able to buy a 1986 Monte Carlo SS which became one of his prized possessions.
He attended mechanic’s school in Laramie, WY. When Chuck was finished with the program in Laramie he came home and worked at a few auto shops in Miles City. Chuck worked for a tire shop in Billings but eventually became a security guard. He worked for Sundown Security and then was a guard for the Yellowstone Art Museum. Chuck also volunteered his time to the Billings Education Academy for children on the spectrum. He helped to fill in at the school and he organized a small art auction at the YAM every year to raise money for the school.
Chuck enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, woodworking and visiting with friends and family. He got great joy from his nieces and nephews.
Chuck’s health took a turn and he was forced to move back to Miles City. He and his mother spent many hours making crafts to raise money for his kidney transplant. Chuck made steampunk lamps that were really cool.
Chuck was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willis Jerrel; his grandmother, Dorothy Jerrel; father, Charlie Randall; a brother in law, John Celander; his cousins Michael Watts and Quinn Whitmus.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Randall; sisters, Kristi Celander and her son, Clayton; Martelle Randall, Alyssa (Justin) Daugherty, their two daughters, Cadence and Hailey Anne; and his brother, Derek Randall (Miranda Madsen). Many loving and caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Betty and family
So sorry for your loss of Chuckie. Having had him in much of my life growing up I know life has not always been easy for him. Learning about diabetes at an early age for me consisting of snack times and sugar levels. I will always remember having orange juice in all our vehicles just in case. The many trips across town on our bikes for baseball practice or games during the summers of babysitting Chuck & Kristie. Remember the good times and cherish your memories as they become treasures.

Oh, what terribly sad news! Chuck was such a delightful student to have in the classroom. 4th grade was a long time ago but I remember it well. He learned so quickly and was so conscientious. It was so good to see him again after all the years. I just didn’t realize his health was in such jeopardy. Hugs to you and Kristi. What a sad two years this has been for you both. My sympathies to all the family. Jan
