My heart hurts at this news. We have lost a generous kind hearted woman who spent her life caring for others. I am so thankful that I knew her. I learned so much from her. She was my first boss at the Y Knot Cafe in Belle Creek. She lived her life as an example of patience and charity. Rest in peace my dear friend.

Years ago I was asked to be on the council for aging board. What a blessing I got because I got to work with and to know Aurise. Her love for Jesus connected us in a mighty way and what a gentle heart she had for meeting the needs of the aging. Another precious memory I have is the times that I stayed with a family member who was in the nursing home at the time of one of their loved ones’ funerals. Aurise always joined me and together we got to not only encourage the individual who had lost the person that they loved but we got to encourage one another and to share how Jesus was working in each of our lives.
May you all be richly blessed as you rejoice in having had this dear one in your lives. Do take care in the Lord and encourage one another, Hebrews 10:24 Romans 15

  33. AJ says

    January 2, 2016 at 7:01 am

I am very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Because of Aurise’s fond of Bible reading, we’re sure that she knows God has promised to, one day soon, eliminate death forever, along with all sickness, pain, and sorrow. (Rev.21:4) He has also promised to reunite us with our loved ones on a restored paradise earth. The Bible says he yearns to do this. (John 5:28,29; Job 14:14,15) I hope these scriptures will bring comfort to each of you as much as Aurise have faith in it.

  36. Barney and Gladys LaRiviere Considine says

    January 7, 2016 at 7:34 pm

Aurise was cousin to my mother Nora Wetherelt LaRiviere and all of the large Wetherelt family. We just now learned of her death and were so sad to hear. My cousins Wayne Wetherelt and Mary Ellen Smith, with Barney and I, visited with Aurise one afternoon not too long ago. She told us many tales of family life way back when. She straightened out some of our wrong memories and replaced them with real stories. She had always said “I could tell you stories about your father.” And she did. I scribbled them down as fast as I could. Many years ago, Aurise and Mom arranged for Irene (Schoonover, at that time) to stay with us in Broadus to go to high school. Aurise was always caring and special and helped Mom in her later years. She said she was just” being family’. But how very special that is. To her family that I don’t know, I share your feelings of loss, but she will be there to look over us and shelter us as she always did. To her siblings, part of our extended families, I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. She was a good woman and we can be proud to call her family.
