Barbara Joyce Merculieff WarClub, age 57, of Poplar, Montana died suddenly of natural causes, at Poplar Hospital Thursday, February 19, 2009 with her family at her side.

She was born July 15, 1951 in Poplar, Montana the daughter of the late Nickander Merculeiff and Louise Iron Bear.Barbara had many interests including her family, playing dice, bingo, riding around, visiting with relatives, and watching family playing horseshoes.

She is survived by her children: two sons Leon Merculieff of Seagleville, Texas and Virgil V. Merculieff IV (Melvine) of Poplar, Montana, two daughters Loya WarClub of Redlake, MN and Angela WarClub (William) of Poplar, MT; 11 grand kids: Virgil Merculieff V, Darren Merculieff, and Darrian A. Merculieff, Travis E. Iron Bear, Jerlyn Renee WarClub, Gerald Whiteman, Eva Maire Wind, Gerald O. Wind, Jr., Dakota J. Wind, Drew Gallineaux, and Kayla Gallineaux; two sisters Sherry Dupree (Harold) of Poplar, Montana and Juanita Merculieff of Poplar, Montana; and a brother Charles Crazy Bull of Poplar, Montana; an Auntie Melda Gone of Poplar, Montana. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive and special friends Edwin Chaser, Robert Eder and Kenneth Eder.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Louise Iron Bear, father Nickander Merculieff, a sister Carol Menz, her husband Virgil WarClub III, and a special friend Allen Lester.
