Bertha Davis 80, passed away with her family by her side in Billings, MT on February 28, 2010. She had been receiving care from Riverstone Hospice for almost a year. Bertha was born May 29, 1929, north of Terry (Olanda, Montana) to Martin and Carol (Lunberg) Martinson.
Bertha attended Sunshine School in the country. She was married to Spencer Davis for 21 years. She had 5 sons and 2 daughters. Bertha worked at Youngs Bar & Cafee, cleaned houses, and took care of elderly people in their homes. She liked to crochet blankets and pot holders, she enjoyed playing games on the computer, doing word-find puzzles & listening to country music and old time rock and roll.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Marvin, Sven, Hans, Sigurd; and her sister Anna.
Bertha is survived by her sons: Spencer of OR, Gene (Jeanette) of MT, William (Kim) of MT, Monty of CA, Chris of MT; her two daughters Eileen and Ann, both of MT; brothers: Paul (Kathy) of OR, Eddy (Sharon) of MT, Marty of MT; sister Phyllis of AZ; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren; her boys next door, and her good friend Kitty and Georgie.
The family appreciates the compassionate care given to Bertha by Beth, Susan, Barb, Ricky, Tracey, Ted, Patti, Boots, Ashley, and Joyce.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday March 6, at Stevensons Funeral Home in Terry. Donations may be made in Berthas honor to either the Prairie County Senior Citizens Center, or the Prairie County Museum. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com
