Bessi Wilson, age 35 of Birney Mt passed away peacefully on October 17th, 2021 at her home in Birney Mt, with her husband, children, and dad by her side.
Bessi was the baby of the family out of 8 siblings, born on May 5th, 1986 in Lame Deer, Mt. to Mark Wandering Medicine and the late Ilo Wandering Medicine. Bessi grew up in the Birney and Lame Deer areas. Shortly after graduating high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Benjamin Wilson, and in this union had five beautiful children. Ilo, Kylo, Khayli Benjamin Jr., and Isa Wilson. She loved her children dearly and was very proud of each accomplishment they had.
Bessi always had a feisty sense of humor that everyone loved. She was always there when her nieces, nephews, siblings, parents, or friends needed her. Whether babysitting, a good venting session, cruising, a place to live/crash, or good lawyer-like advice to help you, Bessi was there. She had a passion for fixing hair and doing make-up, whether it was her own or her family and friends. She loved to travel and see new places and often went to see her Arizona family. She was a very humble and passionate person to all she met, often giving her very last to those that were in need.
Bessi loved helping others and worked at places where she enjoyed taking care of others. She worked as an EMT dispatcher, CNA hospice worker in Arizona, RA at the Heritage Living Center, Houseparent at both the Rosebud Lodge & St. Labre group homes, Cage worker at the Charging Horse Casino, and was Benji’s right-hand woman at the Tire Lube center. But she was happiest when she was home with her five children. She loved being a mother, fixing up her girls, and helping them with their make-up, clothes, and nails.
Bessi comes from a large family, has many relatives, and has countless friends. She all loved dearly. Bessi’s last request was not to have a wake, but a simple church service and have her nephews all be pallbearers. In all hopes, this very brief statement of her life and her wishes are met in the most respectful manner. Our family wishes her to journey well, Godspeed, through the Milky Way to the other side of camp, and Bessi, fly home, we will never forget you!

My dear Bessi, though I am sad about your passing, I have a sense of peace about it because of the wholesomeness of your life. You loved deeply and also gracious and kind. You will always remind me of a sunflower, always lifting your head up and smiling no matter what you were going through or feeling. Sweet peace my friend, and happy trails until we meet again.
