Bethany Redwoman
Bethany Mae Redwoman was born August 24, 1984, to Clyde Redwoman and Christine Bigback (deceased) in Lame Deer, MT, and passed away October 31, 2025.
She was raised in the Lame Deer area and attended Lame Deer elementary and high school at St. Labre Catholic School in Ashland, MT, where she found a passion for cheerleading. After graduating, she attended a year of college in Chattanooga, TN before joining the Navy. Bethany was very proud of her time in the Navy where she spent months at sea on the Enterprise and Kitty Hawk carriers. She was responsible for inspecting airplanes and bringing new life to equipment through paint and servicing. It was during her time in the Navy where she found a true love of traveling and seeing new places. She especially fell in love with Japan during her time stationed there. After leaving the Navy, Bethany lived and worked throughout the eastern U.S. before life took her to Alaska. She always talked with great pride about her adventures gold mining and living in Chicken, Alaska during the summers and exploring warmer weather states like Florida during the winters.
Bethany then found home with friends in Pennsylvania where she met the true love of her life, Scott Northrup. She became an integral part of the valley; enjoying her work as a cook at the Bradford Hotel and being an important and constant support for all of her friends. Bethany was proud to be from the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. She never met a stranger and never hesitated to lend an ear or helping hand to whomever needed it. She lived a life full of travel, adventure and had a deep love for friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Marilyn Mader ….sending my condolences and prayers to you. You raised a fine young lady. You taught her so many things in life that she carries with her. You were there for her when she needed someone. She tried so hard to find ppl that loved her and except her. But, as Foster parents we don’t get credit where it’s needed. We do the best we can to help raise other ppl’s children. But, I know Bethany knows she had you to call “Mom” So RIP Bethany

Condolence to the family of Bethany. I’m sorry I cannot make it. But Know that I am praying for the family. What I know of Bethany is: my dad at times would make a random comment when Clyde came to visit, I wonder where is Bethany? She’s probably enjoy life somewhere. Know that she was never forgotten by my dad and family, I’m so sorry….she is a beautiful lady. Clyde and family: hugs and prayers. ❤️.
