Betsy Ann Williams, age 75, of Broadus, MT passed away on March 22, 2005 in Billings, MT.
Betsy was born on March 26, 1929 on a homestead south of Gillette, WY to William John and Gertrude Cordelia (Thrush) Pettibone. She attended a country school South of Gillette until the family moved to Ranch Creek, Montana in 1939, where she attended school. On September 15, 1948, she married Wade Williams and they lived in Belle Creek area until 1953 when they moved to the ranch house on the Little Powder River south of Broadus. Wade and Betsy ranched their whole lives and raised their five children. Betsy enjoyed music, sewing, quilting, dancing, gardening, cooking and baking, playing cards, spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Betsy is survived by her five children; Cap (Cathy Ruland) Williams of Broadus, MT, Virginia Williams of Gillette, WY, Dixie (Ted Vore) Williams of Belle Fourche, SD, Suzie Gutz of Belle Creek, MT, Lacy (Dana) Williams of Broadus, MT, two sisters; Doris Jone's of Miles City and Mary Gregg of Melstone, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend, Roy Carrico. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Gertrude Pettibone, her brothers Ivan, Harold, and Walter Pettibone, sisters Dora and Alice, her husband Wade Williams, grandson Kable Williams and son-in-law Mark Gutz.
