Bettejane was always one of my favorite cousins, and also one of my mothers’ (her Aunt Olga, favorite nieces. I will always remember her for her good humor and solid common sense. She was a sunny child who grew into a good woman. God bless her family.

My memories of Betty seemed to always included Nelson. I remember going out to visit Aunt Jane, Betty and Nelson at the country school Aunt Jane taught at. When the Walla’s moved to Terry we definitely got into our share of trouble together and either my mom or Aunt Jane worked hard to keep us in line.
Two things will always be in my memory when I think about Betty Jane. First, her tremendous love of animals. She yelled at us boys on several occasions when she thought we might have mistreated her horse Comanche.
Second, her tremendous love for Jesus Christ.
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”
Betty, you’ve run a good race.” Heb. 12:1 Praise the Lord!
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Cor. 5:8
Enjoy your time with your Savior Betty
Ray and family, know we are praying for you all.

Our condolences to Bette’s family. We attended high school with Bette and she boarded at the Waldo house during some of her high school years. Always a fun person to be around and a reverent lady, even at that young age! So sad to hear of losing someone at the young age of 63. Thoughts and prayers are sent from us.

My deepest sympathy to the Harwood family. Betty was in my husband Dave class when she went to school in Jordan. We would run into her in Miles some times and visit. I lost Dave to cancer in 2011.

My sincere condolences to the family of Bette Jane Harwood – I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in many beautiful memories of Mrs. Harwood. We find comfort in Jesus’ words in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 where we are promised a resurrection of dear family members and friends that we have lost. I hope that you are consoled by the many wonderful Bible promises (John 17:3).
