Betty Lou Haines Fitzer, North Oaks Minnesota, (Treasure County native, Sanders and Colstrip)

Betty was tireless in her long battle with cancer, and was called home in her sleep. She was 63. She is survived by husband of 38 years, Rob; daughters, Freya (John) Koester, Maren (Nathan) Kruger, Aandra Fitzer; siblings, Bill (Theresa) Haines, Ralph Jr. (Ginger) Haines; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Louella Haines. Betty worked in human resources for Honeywell for 21 years, and later for seven years at the University of St. Thomas. She always had a smile on her face, and was active in softball, skiing, boating, wilderness camping and travel. Her heart was happiest in the Boundary Waters, Glacier National Park, Holland Lake, Voyageurs National Park and Norway. She particularly loved watching her girls run track. Funeral service was 11 am Saturday, February 27 at BRADSHAW 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear. Memorial service and Interment in Forsyth, Montana will take place on March 4 at 11:00.
