Larry Fink Family says
To Betty’s family…we extend our deepest condolences. Betty was such a good neighbor and never missed our kid’s birthday when they were little . She always enjoyed watching them wash 4-H animals in the front yard tied up to the big cottonwood tree. Larry delivered her paper every morning and made sure a light was on or the garage door was up… if not he checked again a little later thus earning the title of “her little paperboy!” Rest in peace Betty, you will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Betty. She was a such a wonderful person, always with a hug and smile when we saw each other. Visiting in the grocery store or over at the Hysham Street Fest was a highlight in my life. She was a true blessing for everyone.

I am so sad to hear of Betty’s passing. I remember afternoons spent and her dining room table creating keepsakes! She was always happy, truly! God Bless.
Pastor John & Heidi Sias says
Our deepest sympathies to Betty’s family. Betty was a treasure to Hysham and to Trinity Lutheran Church. We have many fond memories of Betty and the numerous ways she faithfully served Trinity. We mourn with you as you mourn your loss and we rejoice with Betty as she now sees her Lord face to face. God give you peace.
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying, ‘Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Blessed indeed,’ says the Spirit, ‘that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!'”
(Revelation 14:13 ESV)

What a lady! Betty was a friend to all, fun to be around and knew her flowers and quilts!
When I first moved here Betty learned I moved from Ashland and it was like we had known each other for years! She t9ld me all about living in Ashland through 3rd grade. She asked if I knew this or that one! I did remember a few of her friends from there. Betty, your friendship means the world to me! Take care of the quilters and gardeners in heaven and keep them in line!I will miss you.

Kerry Ware Hughes says
The Nile Family,
My family lived next door to Jim and Betty when I was a young girl. My dad and mom, (Bill and Sharon Ware) would always come looking for me when I went MIA and would always find me over at the Nile’s home sitting on Jim’s lap having a cup of coffee and Betty adding lots of cream and sugar! Betty always poured me a big bowl of Wheaties cereal and tried to fatten me up! Betty always opened her home and loving arms to me when I relentlessly came over to bug them. She never made me feel I was a bother, but was unconditionally loving when I needed a friend. I think back fondly of these two beautiful spirits who took in a sickly and needy child and made such an impact on her life. I had the privilege in stopping in to say hi to her about 10 + years ago. It had to have been 20 years later…. Her home remained the same peaceful dwelling and her twinkle in her eye was still present! I have such incredible memories of both Jim and Betty that I’ll hold dear to my heart forever! One day I know I will see them both in Heaven. I’m so thankful Jesus brought them into my life. May God Bless your family and I pray you hold the special and wonderful memories of your parents and grandparents close to your hearts! They were angels.
