Interment: will be next to her husband Archie at a later date in the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery.
Betty Lou Stabio, age 86, loving grandmother, mother, wife sister and friend passed away on August 10, 2010 of natural causes at the Rosebud Healthcare Center in Forsyth, MT.
She was born on December 8, 1923 in Ashland, MT to Lucille (Anderson, Trusler) Eiken and Ray Trusler. She was raised in that area and graduated from Broadus High School in 1941. It was there that she met her sweetheart, Archie Stabio whom she wed in 1943.They raised their family in the Ashland and Broadus, MT areas later moving to Missoula, Belgrade, Billings, Miles City and Forsyth where she held various jobs. One of her favorites was working in the cafeteria at the University of Montana at Missoula where she wore many different broaches and received many compliments. Betty Lou enjoyed gardening, feeding and watching birds, her cat, solving crossword puzzles, reading, exercising in the pool, attending church and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Myrna (Ken) Quale of Glendive, MT, Gloria (Bud) Butts of Miles City, MT and Beverly (Dub) Garst of Gillette, WY; sister Evelyn Ball; brother Harvey Trusler and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We her family would like to specially thank the many family, friends and neighbors who loved our mother and especially all those who cared for her at her last home, Rosebud County Rest Home.
