Interment: Custer County Cemetery in Miles City
Betty T. Hopkins, age 77, of Ismay, Montana , peacefully went home to be with God on Friday, December 23, 2005 at the Billings Deaconess Hospital.
She was born in Miles City on September 11, 1928 to the proud parents of Albert and Catherine Kelm. She attended Miles City schools and graduated from Custer County High School in 1946. Betty married Bill Hopkins on July 29, 1946, upon which they moved to Ismay to begin life together by starting a farm and ranch. They became the parents of Billy and Kathy. Betty was very active with all of the operations of the farm and ranch. She was always involved in organizing various volunteer programs associated with the DAV. She was a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
Betty loved to garden, fish, play cards and cook. Betty was a wonderful giving, patient, selfless, cheerful woman that loved her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Albert and Catherine Kelm, and brothers: Martin and Harold Kelm.
She is survived by her husband Bill of Ismay, son Billy of Miles City, daughter Kathy of New Braunfels, TX; sister Kathleen Allen and brother Franklin Kelm both of Santa Clara, CA; granddaughters Crystal and Michelle both proudly serving their country in the Armed Forces, great granddaughter Kierra and nephews John and Michael Goard of CA, Allen and Debbie Kelm of Miles City, Duane Kelm of CA, and Marilyn Kelm of TX.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family section of the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
