Beverly J. Bev Doornek age 68, of Wolf Point died October 1, 2003 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings.
Bev was born July 27, 1935 in Wolf Point to Bob and Marie Balder. She was raised in Wolf Point and attended schools here. She married Marvin Hans Doornek in Sidney on August 8, 1952. Bev farmed and ranched with her husband on the Missouri river bottom in north McCone County until retiring five years ago. They raised sheep and cattle. Bev also worked for a time in the Wolf Point school system as a cook and custodian. She loved horses and her little dachshunds. Growing flowers and gardening were a passion for her. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wolf Point.
Bev is survived by her husband Hans of Wolf Point, two sons, R. J. (Arlene) and Scott (Sharon), both of Wolf Point, 1 daughter Debbie (Glen) Graveley of Salt Lake City, UT, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Also surviving are her mother Marie Balder of Wolf Point, 1 sister Joyce Smith of Wolf Point, a favorite niece Alanne Ryan of Wolf Point, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her father preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, from 1 to 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 pm at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4 at the Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Fr. Steve Zabrocki officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be sent in her name to the Faith Home Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
