Beverly Reuther, age 75, of Terry passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the Prairie Community Hospital in Terry from a short battle with cancer.
Bev was born on August 12, 1944 in Sidney, Montana, the daughter of Carl & Emma (Haffner) Rein. She was the 3rd born out of 4 children. She lived her childhood out on the farm. She attended Anderson and Newlon country schools before moving to Cracker Box in March of 1956 where she attended Terry Public Schools, graduating in 1963. She married Rodger Reuther on August 6th, 1965 at the Congregational Church in Fallon. They made their home on CB Route until late fall of 1966, when they moved to the Fallon Flat after the death of Roddy’s father. At that time, they took over the operation of the family farm. They worked side by side for 20 years running the farm and ranch. During that time, they had two daughters: Suzanne in 1966 and Diedra in 1968. In 1986 Bev and Roddy moved to Terry and Bev became very active in her community through jobs and volunteer work. Bev had many jobs through the years including working at L & M, Liquor Store, Netzer Hardware, Shadehill Campground Host, dispatcher at the Sheriff’s Office, Senior Center, and helping with the farming and ranching. During harvest she helped haul sugar beets for her parents and brothers. She also had several part-time jobs including Terry grocery store, mowing lawns, being a backup mail carrier, watching visitations for Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home and working as the custodian at the Courthouse, Sunday School Teacher and was a judge at the county fair.
One of her biggest joys in life was being 4-H Leader. She enjoyed the many years of being a leader to many different kids. Bev served on many boards at the Terry Presbyterian Church, along with taking part in readings, serving communion, and other church duties. Bev had many hobbies including riding horse, fishing, camping, gardening, dancing and doing macramé and ceramics. Bev was known for her baked rice and CARAMEL ROLLS. She loved animals and had many including dogs, cats, a skunk and a bird. She was an avid collector of sheep memorabilia of all kinds. She was a member of the Congregational Church, Presbyterian Church and the Hope Lutheran Church.
Bev is survived by her husband Rodger “Roddy” Reuther; two daughters: Suzie Reuther and Diedra (David) Johnson; granddaughter Sam Reuther; a sister Marilyn (Elmer) Frank; a brother Doug (Caryn) Rein; sister-in-law Donna (Glenn) Kuehn; sister-in-law Marguerite Rein; her nieces and nephews: David, Steve, Tana and Darin Rein, Deb Wheeler, Kevin, Greg, and Cindy Frank, Paula and Pete Rein and Tara Kuehn. My deepest condolences to Bev’s Family. Bev was a special lady with a huge heart and a very giving personality. A person could never just greet Bev with a simple, “Hello”. There was always time for a short visit. You truly always knew that Bev was interested not only in you but also your Family. Oh my goodness…Her caramel rolls were delicious. While working at the Courthouse she would often surprise us with fresh baked rolls and always gifted all the employees of the Courthouse with rolls for Christmas. Bev will be deeply missed

Dear Roddy,
I realize it’s been a very long time since we have seen each other. I was only with your family one time but it was such a warm and family fun time. Bev was such a gracious hostess and I certainly learned a lot about cows and farming during that time. Our condolences to you and the girls . Our prayers are with you. May God comfort you knowing she is in no pain and at peace with our Lord and Savior. Someday we will meet her and enjoy those cinnamon rolls again. Our love and God’s blessings to you and the family, Becky & Gary Lierman
Myra and Kevin Thoeny says
Roddy and family, Bev will be missed by many. Our deepest sympathy to you all. May the Lord bless you with comfort in your time of sorrow. While Terry lost a beautiful soul heaven gained an angel.
We have many fond memories of her as our neighbor but the one that brought the most laughter was when she brought those yummy caramel rolls to our door right after Manard moved to Terry. She thought he was by himself. It was Christmas eve. I answered the door and she had such a shocked look on her face, to find a woman answering the door. We laughed at that for a long time.
She always had a beautiful smile to share with everyone.
With all our love and prayers,
Kevin and Myra Thoeny
Larry and Judy says
We are so very saddened at Bev’s death. You’ve had so little time to deal with this, it just makes it harder. It was always fun to be around Bev. She was always laughing and cheery and uplifting. Bev was a great Christian, a good friend, wonderful cook, a really hard worker, and she has taken such good care of Roddy as his health has been declining. She will be missed in the short-term, but long-remembered in the long-term. We wish our best to you, Roddy, and family. God be with you.

Bev was one of the best! I first met her shortly after we moved to Terry when she approached me about coming to work with her and Eileen at the hardware store. Little did I know at that time how much of a friend so would become. When we moved to the ranch and I only worked the four months of Christmas season she and Roddy opened their home to me so I could stay in town. Oh the times we had were special. Then again when it was time for our girls to start high school Bev again stepped in and helped line up a rental. RIP Bev. Love you Hugs to Roddy and girls!
