Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the First Lutheran Church in Miles City.

Graveside Service: Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery.

Beverly June (Bringelson) Younglund, age 73, passed away at her home August 22, 2009.

Beverly was born on November 10, 1935 at home on the family ranch in New Raymer Colorado, the daughter of L.O. and Ruth (Fiscus) Bringelson. She attended schools in New Raymer, where she graduated from High School in May, 1953. After graduation, Beverly started working for Bell Telephone, as a telephone operator in Fort Morgan, Colorado. On January 1, 1954, Beverly and Kenneth Younglund were married and made their home in Greeley Colorado. Kenneth started an auction business. In January of 1957 they moved to Miles City. Bev transferred to the Mountain Bell telephone office in Miles City and worked for the company thirty years before retiring. Kenneth and Beverly ran a ranching/farming operation and Younglund Auction Service together. They sold the farm in April 2008 and moved into Miles City.

Beverly loved music from a young age as her family played for dances. She could play the piano and accordion. Beverly and Kenny loved to go to country dances. They also enjoyed meals and dancing at the Red Rock and the Crossroads with friends. Beverly and Kenny also enjoyed going to rodeos and steer roping. They attended the Denver Stock Show for many years. Beverly liked to travel and enjoyed visiting other countries in warmer climates with her husband Kenny and some friends in January, while cold here.

Beverly loved country life and taking care of the animals. She fed bottles to small calves and lambs and took care of them when they were ill. Bev loved her cats and would get up and cook them a large pan of oatmeal besides their regular fare early in the morning when she left for work. At their last farm, they raised sheep and Bev spent many hours taking care of the baby lambs during the spring lambing season. She always had flowers, a garden, and kept her yard nice. She enjoyed having lunch out and family gatherings at holidays. She traveled to Colorado for family reunions.

Bev was generous to helping kids of all ages. They donated livestock for the high school rodeos, hired students to do chores, donated auction services to senior bash, 4-H events, etc., and helped people in their business endeavors.

She belonged to pep club in high school and still has her sweater. She was a long time member of the D.O.E.s and she was honored as DOE of the Year in 1981. She made many friends at work and was a lifetime member of the Pioneer Telephone Club. Beverly also delivered Meals on Wheels.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Younglund of Miles City; sisters Bernita Davis and Belva (Leroy) Holmes and her brother, Dennis (Nancy) Bringelson all of Fort Morgan, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special extended family Tom and Lillian (Orestad) Ostendorf, Mollie (Aaron) Phipps, Steve Ostendorf and Martha Ostendorf. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Duane. Beverly loved children of all ages and was a mother and grandmother to many others as well.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25 2009 with the family to receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the First Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery.
