Funeral services: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City

Interment: will follow in the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery

Billie Marie Cain, age 76, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the Friendship Villa Care Center in Miles City.

Billie was born in Jordan, MT on August 11, 1929, the daughter of Clifford E. & Elizabeth (Burke) Derenburger. She attended schools in Miles City. Billie worked in local restaurants before meeting Charles Short Cain. They were married on August 16, 1944 in Terry, Montana. They made their home in Miles City. In 1957, Billie went to work for Mountain Bell where she would work for 28 years. Billie loved to watch television, enjoyed playing cards, knitting and sewing.

Billie is survived by her sons: Cecil E. Cain and his wife Kathleen of Missoula, MT; and Claude E. Skeeter Cain and his wife Debbie of Helena, MT; one sister; Mary Elizabeth Wergeland of Bethel, WA, a brother; Sid Derenburger of Poway, CA, brother Jack Derenburger of Tucson, AZ and sister Pat Balzer of Worden, MT, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Short, her parents, two brothers; Stephen, Clifford Bud, one sister; Nora Burke, one half sister; Madge Eschelman and two grandchildren; Sunshine and Ty.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2006 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
